Using our website

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

WHATSAPP

The dance school uses WhatsApp groups in order to share information between class members, such as class demonstration videos, class cancellations and general information regarding The Dance School and classes. It is an efficient way to communicate quickly to all members of individual classes. Please be aware that participating students’ mobile telephone numbers are visible to every member of a WhatsApp group. We ask that students respect each other’s privacy and do not use personal mobile telephone numbers to contact any member of the WhatsApp group for any reason without their express permission. Any student doing so will be removed permanently from all WhatsApp groups. Your mobile number will never be added to a WhatsApp group without your permission being sought in the first instance. Your mobile phone number will never be shared by The Dance School between other students, teachers or other agencies.
