Sunday 27th – Allied Dancing Association Tea Dance, The Hub, Banks. £6 on the door 50/50 Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing

Monday 28th FitSteps – brand new FitSteps programme with our Qualified FitSteps instructor, Julie Buck. Every Monday (excluding bank holidays) 10 am – 11 am £7 per person, everyone welcome. No partner needed.

Wednesday 7th May – Mind and Body Dance-Robics with Cathy Formby. Free Event. The Dance School, Burscough. 7pm – 8pm 4 x 10 minute bitesize workshops. 1 – Dynamic Balance and Core, 2 – Leg Strength and Balance, 3 – World Rhythm Aerobics, 4 – Vibe Disco Aerobics. Call or message to reserve your place.

Saturday 10th – Social Dance at The Civic, Ormskirk. 8pm – 10.30 pm. £8 on the door. 50/50 Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing. Licenced bar.

Wednesday 14th – Tea Dance presented by The Dance School. Venue: The Hall, Southport Synagogue, Princes Street, Southport. £8 per person. 1.30 – 3.30. Complementary light refreshments will be served. 50/50 Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing.

Wednesday 14th – Social event presented by The Dance School. All meeting at The Palace Dance Studios, Hindley, Wigan to celebrate a ‘special’ birthday of one of our fabulous students. 8pm – 11 pm. 50/50 Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing. £7.50 on the door. Licenced bar – this is a cash only venue.

Wednesday 28th – Tea Dance at Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Adult Classes

Our intermediate level 2 adult ballroom class Monday 8 til 9 pm has spaces available. The Class is located at the St John the Baptist church hall, School Lane, Burscough L40 7AE (which is just accross the road from our main studios). We have moved to these premises for our Monday evening 8pm class only, to allow the dancers to stride out and enjoy their dance experience fully.

We have places in our intermediate class that takes place on a Tuesday evening from 7 til 8 pm.

Both our intermediate classes are for dancers who have some dance experience. If you would like to come along and visit our classes and see if they are right for you, your first class would be free of charge. Please contact Julie if you would like more information

Sequence Dance Classes for beginners Monday 6pm till 7pm.

Sequence dancing is very popular at all social dances and the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Sequence dancing is also very popular on cruises and also at dance weekend breaks. In our beginners’ class we offer the most popular sequence dances…. including Rumba 1, Mayfair Quickstep, Sally Ann Cha Cha, Square Tango, Melody Foxtrot and fun party dances such as the Caribbean Calypso. Our first dance, on the 6th January, will be the Rumba 1. Dances will be posted weekly on our notice board. Please feel free to join us to learn or recap the dance of your choice. Everyone is very welcome. Booking essential.

CHILDREN’S CLASSES

Our new term of children’s classes will start on Saturday 26th April 10 am – 11 am for age 4yrs to 10 yrs and 11.30 am to 12.30 am for age 10 yrs to 15 yrs. We currently have places available. Please contact Julie for more information

Fit steps and Fit Steps FAB

with our Fabulous Qualified FitSteps instructor, Julie Buck.

FitSteps was created by former Strictly Come Dancing Professionals, Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe, Fitsteps combines the graceful steps of the Ballroom with the up-tempo Latin steps to provide a fun and effective workout! There is no need for a partner and it is suitable for all ages and abilities!

Fitsteps FAB is a low impact dance fitness workout designed for people who love to dance, want to keep fit, but for a variety of reasons, prefer a lighter intensity. FAB combines dance genres such as the Bossa Nova and the Foxtrot to the Flemenco and Argentinian Tango. The dance steps are easy to follow enabling more participants to have fun getting fit while learning classic dances.

No need to book, just come along. Everyone is welcome
